This was a very nice machine and worked well. Then the "NC" control failed causing the turret to stop functioning. The lathe sat for about a 1 1/2 years and the back-up batteries went dead. I had the NC control repaired, replaced the batteries, and entered the parameters. The control was repaired by ACS in MD.
ACS said control would need to be re-programmed after the repair. I do not have the knowledge to complete this re-programming and repair. The control comes on with errors, and the E-Stop will not clear. Mechanically the machine is in good shape. No known problems with the spindle or the X/Z servo motors. The lathe can be seen under power. Please call for details. Nothing replaces an in-person inspection.
The main unit weighs 8000 lbs. (3,600 Kg). My forklift will not pick this up. There is a forklift dealer locally in Grand Rapids that rents. We are approximately 12 miles north of Grand Rapids. Phone calls only please. No e-mails or texts. Price is $100.00. Thank you for looking.
