Potential topics include:
•Bass guitar (4 + 5 string)
•Upright bass (jazz & classical)
•Technique (right & left hand, sound production)

•Improvisation
•Composition + Songwriting

•How to collaborate well in a group setting
I’ve taught lessons at the college level and at community music schools, working with students of all levels and ages.
I take pride in working with each musicians’s individual interests while also broadening their artistic horizons and providing the technical foundation necessary for self-expression.
Whether on upright or electric bass (either 4 or 5-string) I am able to share my insights across a wide range of genres including: jazz, classical, contemporary pop, rock, R&B, and musical theater.
I have lots of performing experience and share real world insights gained from that perspective. I’ve played at MN venues including First Avenue, The Cedar Cultural Center, Dakota Jazz Club, Basilica Block Party, and clubs in New York including Birdland, Rockwood Music Hall, and Bar Bayeux.
Lessons can be:
•Zoom
•Hybrid -I can meet in the Twin Cities a few times a year for in-person check-ins.
Reach out, tell me what you’re working on, what musical dreams you have, and let’s get the ball rolling!
