Up for sale is this Commercial Protel XK-310 payphone with stand produced in 2001. This has been programmed to actually work with money. Very few phones can actually be programmed to work like this phone. That's why Payphones that can work with money for home use are very rare. People that obtain payphones, purchase a conversion kit at the cost of $150.00 but the phone will only work as a regular phone and not accept coins. This takes 4 keys, three of them, I had to purchase. I spent around $100 for the keys, programming and the backup battery, not counting the cost of the phone and the stand. These stands are between $400 to $500 new. The stand is for drive-up phone use, however it's a perfect height for standing too, perfect for in home use or this can be used outside with the proper enclosure or cover of some kind to protect it from the elements. The two posts on the top of the stand are designed for use with a lighted or non-lighted payphone sign. Inside the stand, there are two electrical boxes for easy access for wiring. The stand and the phone are very heavy duty. The base of the stand is set up for mounting into a concrete slab of can be used standing alone inside of a house or garage. The phone was used for only about a month when it was new. There are a few small scratches around the keypad and a few on the handset. as you can see, the handset still has the plastic wrapped around it. The stand is in great condition with some marks underneath the platform. The stand has covers for the base. The stand base measures: 16 in. by 10 in.
