THE REALITY: LGR TECHNOLOGY
We are stocking the professional solution: the Low Grain Refrigerant (LGR) Dehumidifier. Unlike standard units, this machine utilizes a double-cooling system that pre-cools the air before it hits the coils. This allows the unit to continue pulling massive amounts of moisture even when the air is cooler and drier. It is rated to remove 190 Pints Per Day (PPD) at saturation and 85 PPD at AHAM standards. In plain English: it will dry out a flooded carpet or a damp crawlspace in 24 hours, whereas a residential unit might take a week (allowing mold to set in).
BUILT FOR ABUSE, NOT AESTHETICS
Residential units are made of brittle white plastic that cracks if you look at it wrong. This commercial unit is housed in a Rotomolded Polyethylene Shell. This is the same material used to make high-end coolers and whitewater kayaks. You can throw this unit in the back of a truck, stack equipment on top of it, or accidentally kick it with a steel-toed boot, and it will not break. It is designed for contractors who move equipment daily, not for sitting prettily in a corner.
THE "SET IT AND FORGET IT" PUMP
The biggest hassle with standard dehumidifiers is the bucket. It fills up every four hours, the machine shuts off, and nothing dries until you come back to empty it. This LGR unit features an integrated Heavy-Duty Condensate Pump with 20 feet of drain hose. You don't empty buckets. You simply run the small hose into a sink, a floor drain, or even out a window. The machine automatically pumps the water out vertically (up to 15 feet high) and keeps running 24/7 until the job is done.
