We have a little rooster! He is a little flighty due to his mom’s breed. He’s a silver spangled Hamburg, bielefelder hybrid.
Bielefelders are famous for being autosexing. When crossed with a Hamburg, the male and female chicks that he produces will still have distinctly different down colors at hatch, making it easy to separate them.
Hamburgs are active, alert, and can be flighty. Bielefelders are known for being exceptionally calm and docile. The chicks he produces will likely have a blended, moderate temperament.
