This is a beautiful looking Pioneer SX-828 receiver manufactured between 1974-1976 pushing a strong 50 watts per channel. My technician installed new LED lamps in the meters and the AM/FM dial. They now have a nice soft blue color that is pleasing to the eye. All switches and controls were checked, cleaned and lubricated for smooth quiet operation. The bias and offsets were set. The AM radio string was tightened. All capacitors were checked and found to be within manufacturer's tolerance. I cleaned the interior, exterior and polished the front brushed aluminum face and knobs. The wooden case has been cleaned and oiled with numerous coats of Howard's Restore All.

There is some damage to the back right bottom corner of the wooden case. Looking at the front of the receiver notice a white spot at 5 o'clock near the power switch. Besides these two imperfections the receiver looks quite good for being a 50 year old vintage receiver. This is a piece of history.

Again I will say, this is a beautiful looking Pioneer SX-828 receiver with excellent sound and reliability. The FM reception on this receiver is outrageous. Pioneer sold many of these receivers because of the excellent radio reception.
