For the past 6 months it has been sitting in storage at my parents' while I was traveling around the world, and upon return I decided I'm not going to keep a vehicle since I will be living in Washington state and it's expensive to register there. My dad prepped it for my return a few weeks ago by checking all the fluids, filling tires with air, and some light cleaning and buffing of the headlights. I've just used it to run around the farm lately since it doesn't have valid tags.
The Good
• Still runs!
• Sun roof!
• Comes with phone mount, Bluetooth adapter, and Samsung USB-C fast charger!
The Bad
• One of the tire pressure gauges is broken - have been told by every mechanic ever that they could fix it for me but it's honestly just not worth it for how old the vehicle is. Tires still hold air just fine, requires manual checking.
• Registered in MN and is expired - will need new plates and tags.
• Decent amount of cosmetic damage - beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
• Radio is messed up and doesn't work properly (will explain volume adjustment to you for using Bluetooth).
The Ugly
• Fuel door lever rusted out - I decoupled the mechanism so I could still fill with gas but as a result the door doesn't fully close/lock.
• Parking brake does not work properly (likely rusted out cable but not certain).
• Smokes a bit during startup (sometimes, not always). It has been like this since I bought it in 2023.
• Something wrong with electrical which causes error codes for check-engine, VSC, 4WD to pop up every thousand miles or so - I have an OBD2 sensor hooked up which I have been using to reset the codes with a free app on my phone instead of worrying about spending money on it.
