This is the more rare saught after Imperial model of the Taylor-Tot stroller because it has the stylish Full steel Wheel Fairings on all four wheels and the *solid sheet metal foot rest. The stroller is complete and fully functional.
When child becomes older you can easily remove the stroller handle and the foot rest allowing it to convert to a push-cart that the growing child continues to enjoy using their legs and feet. The stroller has a brake that can be set by a standing adult's foot that prevents the rear wheels from moving. The stroller handle is designed to be easily removed for easy transportation in a car's backseat or trunk.
This early 1940s model has the stylish solid-iron stroller handle with solid wood handle grips - not the thin metal tubing construction of the 1950 era models. *Also, those later models were produced using a flimsy wire grated screen for a foot rest which cheapened production but at the cost of injuring children when toes became stuck between the wire grate.
People restore these strollers for display or to be used as strollers, others display them with potted plants or stuffed animals, others just display them as the vintage art-deco style items that they are. These strollers turn heads that is for sure !
