A 2004 Necky Santa Cruz kayak. Great all around boat that tracks well yet can turn on a dime. Fun boat in moving water. In rivers you should wear the skirt since in sits low at the waist. A dry ride into waves, decent initial stability and great secondary stability. Just a fun all around boat. Read the online reviews, anyone who has owned one loves it. Surfs nice but again wear the skirt. Can put a skeg on but it doesn't need it. Any weather vaning easy to compensate for with tiny wrist flick. I've had at least a dozen boats and this is by far my favorite all around boat. A lot more fun than the Pungo and most others. A lot of boat for $600.
Remarkably warm in cold weather with the skirt on.
Rotomolded HDPE plastic, 12.5' long and 26" wide. About 50 pounds, big cockpit that is easy in and out. Aft dry hatch that actually stays dry. Comes with the spray skirt shown and the drop down skeg.
