boat type: kayak/canoe/SUP
propulsion type: human
length overall (LOA): 17
17 foot Alumacraft Quetico canoe WITH 2 PADDLES. Great condition - it has a few customary scratches on the bottom of the hull but just about no dents to speak of. The floor paint on the inside of the hull shows just about no signs of wear, looks lightly used. Because it’s an aluminum boat it has a keel which tracks straight as an arrow on flatwater lakes and doesn’t blow around in a wind. The keel and the flat bottom aluminum also provide exceptional primary stability / great boat for a standard camping load or a small child third passenger. Another advantage of aluminum, it’s easily repaired with a weld or rubber malet and can be stored outside in the sun, rain, snow and cold for years on end without any damage. Composite boats are quickly damaged by UV rays and sometimes even develop cold cracks - the plastic boats are exceptionally heavy. Comes with a couple paddles that’ll get you started. You can own this boat for about the same money as it would cost you to rent a couple times for BWCAW trips and you’d have it for weekends and day use. Please give a Call to see it.
