Insulated Earthenware Jug. This glazed, ceramic jug is insulated and steel jacketed. The aluminum cover holds an inner lid and gasket. Volume is 1 gallon. The mouth on the ceramic jug is 2 7/8" diameter. Circa 1940, it weighs 8#.

It's in very nice condition, considering that it's 70 years old. I rescued it from my sister's "to go" box. If nobody wants it, it'll go in the dumpster.
