We are the Minnesota owners of a very nice house in Kissimmee, Florida that is only 3 miles to the Disney Property. This is our vacation house where we escape the Minnesota winter a few weeks per year! We have it fully furnished, and it has wireless internet, cable tv with 3 tvs, dvd players, game room (pool table, foosball, etc.), washer/dryer, dishwasher, all kitchenware, linens/towels, games, books, toys, videos, etc. The highlight is the private, screened, fully fenced, southern facing, heated POOL! We could spend a week just hanging out in the backyard and be happy, which we have done!

Why stay in a cramped hotel, sharing a pool with 500 other folks and forking out money for meals, when you can spread out over an entire house, with privacy. You also can save a few bucks by cooking some of your meals at home -and the two grocery stores a mile away have nice delis as well.

We bought the house because of its proximity to Disney World. In most other neighborhoods that rent private houses (Davenport, Lake Buena Vista), you have to go on the traffic-filled freeways, sometimes spending 45 minutes each way in vacation traffic. Ugh! From our place it is literally 3 miles on traffic-free backroads to the resort! When we go to the parks, we come home in the middle of the day for lunch and a swim, and then return in the afternoon refreshed for more rides, parades, and fireworks.

We have some days/weeks open this Winter and Spring 2010, are also taking inquiries for Summer, Fall and next Winter!

Season rental for 1 or 2 cabins on the edge of Lake Kabetogama. 4.5 hrs from Mpls/St. Paul or 2 hrs north of Duluth, Kabetogama is in the heart of Voyageurs National Park. This water-based Nat'l Park is known for some of Minnesota's best walleye fishing, unbelievable sea kayaking waters, hiking trails, and a landscape second to none. In the past we had a small resort with 4 rental cabins...we have moved on from the resort and last season began renting 1-2 cabins for the season, as we use the property 10-12 day each month for our fishing guide service.

We can offer 1 or 2 cabins this season for season rental (Memorial Day to Labor Day). The cabins are small, but clean and comfortable. No cooking units are in the cabins so you must either use the grill, microwave, or a neighboring resturante to eat. Approx. 100' from the the cabin is a modern Showerhouse with toilets, showers, sinks, and a seprate area for washing dishes or fish cleaning. In the cabins in Pine wood interior, carpet, electricity, elec. wall heaters, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, either single beds or a full/queen sized bed, small table & chairs...We are off the water, approx. 1/2 mile from the Kabetogama Visitor Center, and own approx. 6 acres of land. We have other season renters so we are looking for someone that is quiet and will treat our cabins with respect. No partying, no rentals less than one month...

Cost: $1200 for the season, water is delievered in and split based on usage ($50-$75 for the season), on-site Boat storage available for the season...

In most other neighborhoods that rent private houses (Davenport, Lake Buena Vista), you have to go on the traffic-filled freeways, sometimes spending 45 minutes each way in vacation traffic. Ugh! From our place it is literally 3 miles on traffic-free backroads to the resort! When we go to the parks, we come home in the middle of the day for lunch and a swim, and then return in the afternoon refreshed for more rides, parades, and fireworks.

We are taking reservations for Winter, Spring and Summer 2010 - and are even getting inquiries for next Fall and Winter as well!

It is a very comfortable and quiet place to kick back and relax at after a busy day exploring and enjoying all that Duluth has to offer.
