The landlords are great, too. They live in the building and are very reasonable. There is a shared deck with a gorgeous lake view, which is great for morning yoga/breakfast in the summer. There is a washer and dryer in the basement, so no need to go to the Laundromat. DTA lines 10h, 11, and 12 are all two blocks away and the 13 is three blocks away. Whole Foods co-op is within walking-distance.

About me (your potential roommate): I'm a 24-year-old female college student. I attend UMD where I'm majoring in philosophy with a minor in film studies. I'm vegan and I cook a lot (A LOT a lot). I like to have people over to have dinner and watch movies, but I'm certainly not the type to throw a kegger in the apartment. I have a cat. He's very friendly and loves everyone. I'm fairly clean. I don't mind a bit of clutter, but I like to keep the common areas of the apartment mostly tidy and the kitchen mostly spotless (though, honestly, my room is usually a disaster). I'm often pretty quiet when I'm at home. The exception being when I think I'm alone and I start singing to myself.

About me: I will be a senior next coming school year. I am a biology major at UMD. I am not too serious of a student, but I expect things to not be too crazy where I live during the schoolweek. I don't smoke, drink occasionally, and tend to be pretty open to different types of people and consider myself a laidback, nice person once you get to know me. I do not have retirements for a roommate(s) that are too unrealistic but:

I would prefer you are a student
I don't mind pot smoking really, but don't make it a crutch in your everyday life and have your life revolve around it. NO growing or dealing at residence.
I would prefer living with a nonsmoker of cigarettes, but do not require it. But there will be no smoking of cigarettes in the house whatsoever.
No parties at the house. And by a party I mean like a bunch of random people coming and going with stuff breaking, getting stolen, or thrown up upon. Having friends over is more than okay with me.
Do your own dishes and clean up your own messes.
I take security of my place I live semi-seriously and try to have my doors locked almost always.
Dont eat food that isn't yours unless given permission, don't use stuff that isn't yours without permission.
Cats and dogs are for the most part okay with me.
